Formats Gallery

The Formats Gallery is the Workbench dialog that displays the formats available within FME.
A format that is greyed out is unavailable - either it is not licensed by your FME license, or it requires the installation of a related application (eg ArcGIS for GeoDatabase format).
The dialog includes...
- Description
- The full name of the format
- Example: GML Simple Features Level SF-0 Profile
- Short Name
- The FME Format Keyword for the format
- Example: GMLSF
- Read
- Tick box that denotes if a reader is available for the format
- Write
- Tick box that denotes if a writer is available for the format
- Extension
- Typical file extension for that format (where applicable)
- Coord Sys
- Tick box that denotes whether this format supports storage of a coordinate system
- Type
- The dataset type - file, folder, database or URL
- Licensed
- Tick box that denotes whether this format is licensed in your FME installation
- In List
- Tick box that denotes whether this format will appear in the drop-down list of formats in the new workspace dialog
