Introduction
FME MVP's (Most Valued Professional) are members of the FME community who have distinguished themselves by being supportive and valuable members of the community. On a regular basis, Safe nominates a number of people, in several categories, who have excelled in helping out other FME users. The FME community can then vote for the MVP awards.
To be named MVP is, understandably, a great honor. It's a confirmation that ones efforts are highly appreciated.
To a large extent the MVP program is superceded by the Certified Professional Program (http://www.safe.com/partners/FMEcertification.php), but all of these folk still are and will be recognized as MVPs.
